my dear son/daugther,when was the last time someone told you that they love you? i want this love letter to remind you that my love for you reaches to the heavens (psalm 36:7) and nothing can separate you from my love (romans 8:38-39). i created you in my image (genesis 1:27) and i call you by name (isaiah 45:4). i knit you together in your mother’s womb (psalm 139:13). you are fearfully and wonderfully made (psalm 139:14) and all of your days were written in my book (psalm 139:16). i knew you before you were born (jeremiah 1:5) and i continue to know everything about you (psalm 139:1). even the hairs of your head are numbered (matthew 10:30) because i am your perfect father (matthew 5:48) and you are my offspring (acts 17:28). i created the heavens yet i am still mindful of you (psalm 8:3-4). you belong to me (romans 14:8) because i chose you (john 15:16) and adopted you as my son when i sent my son for you (ephesians 1:4-6). that is how much i love you: i sent my son to die so that we can spend eternity together (john 3:16). i rescued you because i delight in you (2 samuel 22:20). you are the apple of my eye (psalm 17:8) and i am enthralled by your beauty (psalm 45:11). you can’t even count my thoughts toward you each day (psalm 139:17-18). you are my treasured possession (exodus 19:5) and i have loved you with an everlasting love (jeremiah 31:3). though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, my unfailing love for you will not be shaken (isaiah 54:10). when everyone deserts you, i will not leave (psalm 38:11,21) because i am always faithful to you (psalm 33:4). i will not forget you (isaiah 49:15) for i have engraved you on the palms of my hands (isaiah 49:16). i hear your cries and i am concerned about your suffering (exodus 3:7-8). when you call, i will always answer (psalm 17:6). i am close to you when your heart is broken (psalm 34:18) and i will wipe away your tears (psalm 25:8). remember that when you are weak, i am strong for you (2 corinthians 12:10). i will give you rest (matthew 11:28). i will carry you (psalm 28:9). i will stand in your defense (psalm 10:18). i will fulfill your needs (matthew 6:32-33) because i am for you (romans 8:31). i have set you apart for myself (psalm 4:3) and as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, i will rejoice over you (isaiah 62:5). i will turn your shame into radiance (psalm 34:5) and i will give you joy so we can dance together (psalm 30:11). i will give you something to rejoice in each morning (psalm 30:5) because i have plans to give you hope and a future (jeremiah 29:11). i will be faithful to you (1 thessalonians 5:24) even when you lose faith in me (2 timothy 2:13). i will give you the desires or your heart if you give me your love (psalm 37:4). i will wait for you (luke 15:11-32).love, your father, your abba, your daddy God
It really angers me that that everyone’s life and plans revolve around drinking and getting drunk. People just keep proving my point and that is exactly why the drinking age is 21. Because people are so immature about it. I don’t care if people drink or whatever, I do. But I don’t let my life revolve around it. I wouldn’t cancel my plans over the fact that whoever I was hanging out with wasn’t drinking. It’s stupid and immature. Hang out with the people because you want to hang out with them, not because you want to get drunk. If you’re going to make a trip to see me, make a trip to see me. Not just to drink. I hate when “friends” do that. Say they’re coming one day and then when they find out no one is drinking that night, they just don’t come. Rude.
